This was a short story following Jack and Tessa s first pregnancy Zara the village midwife comforts her when she stresses over the baby I can t wait to read the next book in this series it was lovely to catch up again Review this was the first Cathy Woodman book I d read because I thought it might give me a little taste of her *writing having been r This morning s train journey treat turned out to be a bit darker than I expected * having been r This morning s train journey treat turned out to be a bit darker than I expected still a satisfying readThe Three of Us picks up at the end of Cathy Woodman s last Tallyton St George story with the happy couple now expecting But the path to parenthood isn t smooth with medical problems and doubts the main issues It was lovely to be back at the Animal Rescue and nice to meet Zara who is going to be the star of the next book in the series although I didn t see enough of her to think of it as a proper introduction There are always problems for characters in Cathy s books but this problem seemed dramatic than others and I was impressed with the way that the author managed to deal with the issues in the length of a novella without it seeming rushedA nice fun read and I m looking forward to the next instalment in the series proper This short story is a follow up from The Village Vet as it follows the characters of Tessa and Jack a follow up from The Village Vet as it follows the characters of Tessa and Jack that book Cathy Woodman s next book Follow Me Home then includes Zara the midwife that appears in this lovely short story What s the book about Tessa and Jack live at the animal
Sanctuary In Talyton St George in Talyton St George had been friends for ears but it wasn t until Jack interrupted Tessa s wedding that she discovered his feelings for her were stronger than she ever knewNow a ear on they could not be happier And when Tessa discovers she s pregnant it s as if all their dreams have come trueBut a scan shows that there are complications and suddenly Tessa realises that Jack has always had doubts about having a baby Supported throughout by Zara the village midwife Tessa and Jack have some tough decisions to makeHowever as the baby s birth draws closer Tessa and Jack grow further apart Will he feel differently when the baby is born Or will having her wonderful child mean losing the man of her dreamsMy ReviewThis is such a lovely story exceptionally well written by Cathy Woodman I had not read anything written by her and really enjoyed this book Tessa and Jack are happily married and delighted that Tessa is pregnant after only trying for a baby for a short while but their happiness is threatened by a scan showing complications with the baby After this news Tessa and Jack deal with it in different ways and it puts a strain on their relationship The book tackles the emotional aspect of their marriage really well it s realistic not pie in the sky stuff The average person could relate I loved the animal sanctuary aspect to the short story the different animals that are being loved and cared for and nursed back to health It s weaved in nicely and adds a nice touch to the storyWe follow eagerly the journey that Tessa and Jack go on will she lose Jack because of the baby and the complications Is everything going to fall apart You will have to read it to find out I am giving nothing away I loved Tessa I thought she was a very likeable character that I could relate to as a woman a wife and a mother myself ou may not be but still she is a good character She s not perfect and her emotional roller coaster we go on with. The Three of Us is an exclusive short story introducing Zara the village midwife whose story Quintet you can read in Follow Me Home and bringing us up to date with what's happened to Tessa and Jack from The Village VetTessa and Jack live at the animal sanctuary in Talyton St George They had been friends forears but it wasn't .
Feeling sorry for Jack even though I hadn t read any previous books There are a few twists and turns they keep ou wondering if it will all turn out 45 Crabstick Sprogget StarsI love Cathy Woodman s writing and am proud to say that I have read and adored every one of the Talyton St George booksThe Three of Us is a novella which introduces us to the Village Midwife Zara through her dealings with a now pregnant Tessa and her husband Jack who we first got to know in The Village VetThis novella made me ugly cry which was not what I Expected To Be Honest Cathy S Be Honest Cathy S Book S Whilst to be honest Cathy s previous book s whilst full of emotion usually err on the warm and fuzzy side of the scale As such it came as a bit of a shock reading Tessa and Jacks heartbreak and anguish and their subseuent relationship difficulties while attempting to deal with the possibility that their baby may not be born 100% healthyTessa Everyone talks about me as the mum to be but I ve been a mother since I did that pregnancy test and I ve been protecting and fighting for the life inside me ever since This novella is another stellar addition to the Talyton St George Series and I cannot wait for the release of Follow Me Home in April where we get to read Zara s storyARC provided via Netgalley and it was my absolute pleasure to provide the above review The Three of Us is a novella which follows on from the book Follow me home In the novella we learn the full story behind Tessa s pregnancy it only having been referred to briefly in Follow me home Reading this immensely after Follow me home was perfect and
of one of the ends of the bookA very enjoyable uick and easy read his short story by Cathy Woodman is a great introduction to readers who have never visited Talyton St George before The story is stand alone however it can be read alongside Woodman s latest release Fo0llow me Home where the characters are mentioned a number of times but the outcome to the pregnancy which has been upset with complications and uncertainties is only found out in this short storyWith Cathy s other books there are lots of characters who turn up in many of the series however this short story concentrates on Tessa and Jack who run the animal rescue centre Both characters have been in previous books and avid readers will remember that Tessa was to marry another villager until Jack interrupted the wedding I know that I have been hoping that these characters would turn up in another book as I wanted to know if they have stayed together and was pleased to see that they have their own story I enjoyed this short story and I would love Cathy to do of these revisiting characters who have previously featured heavily in earlier books from the seriesI recommend this to new readers who have not visited Talyton St George before but also to fans of the story who want to catch up with Tessa and Jack and find out if their pregnancy has a happy ending This is a short story following the lives of the characters Tessa and Jack from The Village Vet Tessa is pregnant but without giving out any spoilers things do not go to plan My heart was aching for the couple in this book I has to carry on reading to find out what happened We are introduced to a new character Zara who becomes one of the main characters in Cathy s new full length book Follow Me Home I love Cathy s books especially The Talyton St George Vet series animals and romance in a lovely country Devon setting. Lways had doubts about having a baby Supported throughout by Zara the village midwife Tessa and Jack have some tough decisions to makeHowever as the baby's birth draws closer Tessa and Jack grow further apart Will he feel differently when the baby is born Or will having her wonderful child mean losing the man of her drea. .Finished Of One Of The
Her is painful to watch at times I Liked Her A Lot A her a lot A short story I will certainly be putting Cathy Woodman s other books on my to read list This book took me into a really nice place One of those feel good stories I received a copy of this short story thanks to the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review Every time I write a review for a Talyton St George novel I say the same thing how much I enjoy the series It s just such a delightful series and I ve et to not enjoy one of the books in the series I ve Read 6 Of The 8 With The 8th Out Really 6 of the 8 with the 8th out really and the 7th sitting happily on my Kindle waiting for me to finish all my review books as they re currently stacking up at an alarming rate so when I spotted The Three of Us on Netgalley I of course reuested it immediately and was super chuffed to be accepted and I couldn t wait to dive inThe Three of Us is a 30 40 minute novella that has the dual purpose of introducing us to Zara the midwife from the forthcoming Follow Me Home YAY and also catches us up with Tessa and Jack from The Village Vet although I initially mis read and thought it was the characters from Vets In Love which I devoured earlier this week in preparation for their seuel OOPS I initially couldn t remember Tessa and Jack it s really hard to keep all Before the Revolution your books and characters in a line whenou read so many but after a few pages and after I realised which book they were originally in I remember who they were and I remembered how much I had liked them when we met them first time around Tessa and Jack are two of my favourite Talyton characters so it was so lovely to be back with them even if it wasn t for the best of reasons they re pregnant and deliriously happy until they go for a scan and they re told something s wrong with the baby do they stick with the pregnancy hope for the best or do they do something about itI really enjoyed The Three of Us it s a very sweet little novella and I raced through it I was uite disappointed with the fighting Tessa and Jack do over the baby I want to see them happy In love Not with their marriage crumbling but I knew that a Talyton
Novel Probably Wasn T Going To Endprobably wasn t going to end divorce so I was pretty safe carrying on reading I enjoyed the little glimpse into Zara too and I m uite excited to dive into her proper story in Follow Me Home It s a very good little filler novel and it was very nice to be back with Tessa Jack and all of the animals The Three Of Us is a short story It centres around Jack and Tessa who are married and expecting their first child The pregnancy develops some serious complications which divide Tessa and Jack in a big way You also meet Tessa s parents and Zara the midwife As part of a small village community it is as A Devil Inside you would expect hard to keep anything secret andou meet some of the typical characters The Worst of Boiled Angel you would meet n a real village such as the local gossip You get a sense of community and closeness through the writing I haven t read anything by Cathy Woodman before and know that the characters have also feathered in earlier work so was unsure whether I would be able to follow and engage with the book However this hasn t been a problem and the story works well as a stand alone When complications with the pregnancy arise there are some very moving scenes which really tapped into my emotions I felt angry sad and frustrated with Jack and could sense myself wanting to take care of Tessa whilst also. Ntil Jack interrupted Tessa's wedding that she discovered his feelings for her were stronger than she ever knewNow aear on they could not be happier And when Tessa discovers she's pregnant it's as if all their dreams have come trueBut a scan shows that there are complications and suddenly Tessa realises that Jack has
